Bolt TV

Bolt TV began in 2008 when a local Bolt FM DJ put a short film capturing the fire that destroyed the local primary school on the internet. He described that he would love to learn more about film editing and production. Working with Transform TV a group of 8 young people made and launched their own story of Littlehill primary school. This short film interviewed previous students of all ages and looking to the future interviewed influential people in the community.

The result can be seen on the website. With visits to the BBC and help from professionals working within the industry the young people gained a unique insight into making films. Further to this 4 young people from Blackhill set about on a 6 month course to learn more about film making. Eventually leading to qualifications from North Glasgow College they have now gone on to be freelance film makers and are available to hire for both peer led training and film making.
